Passport & Visa Information

Passport requirements

Attendees outside of New Zealand will require a valid passport to visit New Zealand.

Depending on which country has issued your passport, your passport must still be valid for 1-3 months after your planned departure date from New Zealand.

If you are travelling on an Australian passport, your passport must be valid for one month after the date you plan to leave New Zealand.

Visa requirements

You do not need a visa to visit New Zealand if you are an Australian citizen travelling on an Australian passport.

Visa Waiver Programme

If you do not hold an Australian passport, you may be eligible to travel under the Visa Waiver Programme. The programme allows citizens of certain countries to enter New Zealand for business and tourism purposes for up to three months without a visa. British citizens can stay for up to six months.

New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA)

Travellers entering New Zealand under the Visa Waiver Programme need to complete an New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA).

To avoid delays, request an NZeTA before you travel. Requests are usually processed within 72 hours, but some requests may take longer.
