Oral Sessions - PreRecorded with Live Q&A

Oral presenters will prepare and upload a pre-recorded video. The recording is limited to 10 (or 15) minutes (please refer to your confirmation email for time limit).  There will be a joint live Q&A session at the end with all oral presenters in that session.

Browser & System check

Please use Google Chrome to access the OnAir virtual platform.  (The platform is not compatible with Explorer, Safari, Firefox or mobile phones)

SYSTEM CHECK:

The OnAir Platform runs a number of programs in the background, to enable the streaming, networking, posters and exhibition to run.

PROGRAMS USED: Vimeo, YouTube, Twilio and Vonage

Please ensure you check that you can access these prior to the meeting.  If presenting from your office, we suggest informing your IT department that the following programs are used in the OnAir Platform, as they may need to unblock access so you can view content.

Setup for live Q&A

Audio & Camera: Ensure you have allowed access to your camera and audio in the browser you are using.  You will also be asked to set these when you log in to the portal, as well as when you enter your session.

Use a quality microphone or headset if possible, preferably connected via USB to help prevent audio issues

Internet: A hardwire connection to the Internet is preferable to wireless or WiFi hotspots.

Instructions on how to join your Session

Please download the 'presenter guide' here on how to join your session for live Q&A.

Presenters should join their session at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session starting.

  • Presentations will automatically commence at the nominated start time. There is no need for presenters to start or activate their talk.
  • Audience members can type questions into the Live Q&A box at any time. Questions will be monitored by the Session Chair.
  • There will be 10min of live Q&A at the end of the Session which will be moderated and involve all session’s speakers (where possible). The Chair person will read out the questions for each presenter.
  • discussion forum will also be open and is used for general discussion by the attendees, which presenters can also join.
  • Presentations and Live Q&A will end immediately at the advertised time. There will be a timer counting down to the end of the presentation.
  • Delegates will be able to log back into the presentation to view the recording “on-demand” available the next day.
  • At the conclusion of the presentation, presenters can go back to the timeline and participate in the conference as usual.
