AACB Annual Scientific Conference
Travelling Scholarships

Up to 4 Travelling Scholarships (across three categories) will be available to AACB members to attend the AACB 63rd Annual Scientific Conference in Melbourne, VIC.

CATEGORIES:

• Metropolitan Member Scholarships: for members who work in a major metropolitan area.
• Regional Member Scholarships: for members who work in a regional area (60klms outside a major city).
• Early Career Scholarships: for members with less than 10 years experience. 

The Scholarship will include a full registration to the Annual Scientific Meeting. 

For interstate recipients, a discounted return economy airfare to Melbourne is included, plus four nights accommodation. For overseas recipients, up to AUD$1200 towards your airfare, and four nights accommodation is included.

Note: accommodation and airfare will be booked by AACB.  

Eligibility:
The applicant must be a financial member of AACB for 24 months or more from the closing date of 17 July 2026 (ie. member since 17 July 2024).

Favourable consideration will be given to members who submit an oral or poster abstract for the meeting (abstract submissions close 1 June 2026).

Successful applicants must provide a report to the Editor of the Clinical Biochemist Newsletter for inclusion in the next Issue post conference.

The AACB reserves the right not to grant a scholarship if recipients do not meeting the criteria.

Scholarships are open to AACB members only who have been a member for 2 years or more at the time of application.
