Presenter Guidelines - Oral Presentations

Oral Briefing Video

Due to the recent Covid-19 restrictions around Australia, the ASC will now be a Virtual Meeting.

All submitted oral presenters will provide a 10 minute pre-recorded presentation. Oral Sessions will be held on Tuesday 28 September, from 1420-1550 AEST.  Session details and presentation order will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

All sessions will be delivered through the OnAir Virtual Platform. Delegates will be able to post questions to the Q&A chat feed via the Virtual Platform.  Live Q&A will be held after each presentation, where the Chair & Speaker will be brought onto the virtual stage for questions.

Note: We understand that not all presenters may be available for live Q&A. If this is not possible, presenters will be able to access the Q&A area after the session, to answer the questions via the Q&A chat feed.

Presentation format

We recommend setting your PPT slides to widescreen 16:9 format.  A PowerPoint template is available to use to create presentations to match this format.

Providing your Pre-Recorded Presentation

You may record your video using the software you feel most comfortable with. If you have little experience recording videos, we suggest using Microsoft PowerPoint or Zoom.  For more information and for instructions on how to create a video, view the Recording Guide here.

Presentations must stay within their allocated time of 10 minutes.

Presenters are required to upload their presentation either as a recorded PPT file with voice over/video, or as a MP4 file. If supplying in an MP4 format,

  • ensure your video is rendered at 720p (1280x720) and does not exceed 2Mbps
  • ensure your audio source has stereo output capability. Note: A mono device will only output sound to the left side. Generally, if a device has an output jack labelled EARPHONE it will be mono, while an output jack labelled HEADPHONE will be stereo.

Upload your pre-recorded presentation by 20 September 2021 via the dropbox account below.
Files should be saved under your surname eg. Smith.mp4
