AACB Virtual Conference

27-28 October 2020

Poster Gallery

What is the Poster Gallery?

The Poster Gallery is where conference attendees can access all posters that were accepted to the AACB Virtual Conference. Conference attendees can view and leave feedback on these presentations any time from 22 October until the end of the conference (and up to the 31 Dec 2020, as the portal will remain open after the conference!).

How Can I Find a Specific Poster?

The Search bar in the Poster Gallery allows you to quickly filter through presentations by title.

By clicking on the Advanced option, you can also search presentations by theme, title, author name and organisation.

Another way to quickly locate specific presentations that have caught your interest is by adding them to your favorites. Simply click the star icon next to the presentation’s title.

You can then pull up a list of all the presentations you have saved as favorites just by clicking the star icon on the search bar.

Remember to click the  to clear all your filters after you search, so that you go back to seeing all the presentations.

How Can I Provide Feedback or Access Handouts Related to a Presentation?

After you have clicked the View Button next to the title of the presentation you wish to view, you will notice a number of menu tabs on the right-hand side.

“Discussion Forum” allows you to leave feedback for the author, including follow-up questions and constructive comments. You can always come back later to check any responses from the author.

“Handouts” allows you to read the abstract and access any handouts, assuming they have been provided by the author. These may include the Poster PDF, or a copy of the author’s slides.

ePoster Sessions - Delegates Guide

What is an ePoster Session?

ePoster Sessions are live sessions where certain authors will be available to have real-time conversations about their poster. There are two ePoster Sessions, each running for 20 minutes.

If an author has chosen to participate in one of our ePoster Sessions, you will see it noted under the presentation title of the Poster as shown in the image below:

You can also click on a ePoster Session directly from the conference timeline and see a list of the posters/authors being presented in each session.

How Do I Interact with an Author during a ePoster Session?

When it's time for a ePoster Session, authors who are available to start a conversation will have a red dot displayed on their profile picture as shown below.

When you click on View and access that paper, you will see a “Join Queue” option on the page.  Click on that button to express your intent to interact with the author.

Authors can accept these invitations individually for a one-on-one chat or in groups for a larger discussion. Participants can ask questions and provide feedback via audio, while the presenter will have the added ability to use video and screen sharing. Participants can leave these virtual meeting rooms at any time and move on to the next presenter they would like to interact with.
