What is the Poster Gallery?

The Poster Gallery is where you can access all posters that were accepted to the HGSA Virtual Conference. Attendees can view posters as soon as they have access to the platform, save their favorites for easy viewing, and leave feedback in the discussion forum. These are accessible while the platform is open, up until 31 Jan 2021.

How Can I Find a Specific Poster?

The Search bar in the Poster Gallery allows you to quickly filter through presentations.

By clicking on the Advanced option, you can also search presentations by theme, title, author name and organisation.

Another way to quickly locate specific presentations that have caught your interest is by adding them to your favorites. Simply click the star icon next to the presentation’s title.

You can then pull up a list of all the presentations you have saved as favorites just by clicking the star icon on the search bar.

Remember to click the   to clear all your filters after you search, so that you go back to seeing all the presentations.

How Can I Provide Feedback or Access Handouts Related to a Presentation?

The Poster viewing area provides a number of menu tabs on the right-hand side. These include options to print or download a copy of the poster, view the abstract (in handouts), take notes, join the Discussion Forum, and connect with the author in the Meeting Hub.

“Handouts” allows you to read the abstract and access any handouts, if they have been provided by the author. These may include the Poster PDF, or a copy of the author’s slides.

“Discussion Forum” allows you to leave feedback for the author, including follow-up questions and constructive comments. You can always come back later to check any responses from the author.

"My Session Notes" allows you to take & save notes, which can then be exported to your email. The export icon is found in the top right hand corner of the portal (beside your profile).

How Do I Join an ePoster Session?

When it's time for a ePoster Session, authors who are available to start a conversation will have a red dot displayed on their profile picture as shown below.

When you click on "View" and access that poster presentation, you will see a “Join Queue” option on the page.  Click on that button to express your interest in their presentation.

You will be put into a queue until the author accepts you into their presentation.

How Do I Interact with an Author during an ePoster Session?

Once the Author accepts these invitations, participants can ask questions and provide feedback via their microphone, OR if you don't wish to use your mic, you can post a question in the Q&A box.  The presenter will have the added ability to use video, audio and screen sharing. Participants can leave these virtual meeting rooms at any time and move on to the next presenter they would like to interact with.
