The 48th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA), centred around the theme "Genetic Ecosystems" was a record event with over 800 attendees, close to 300 abstract submissions and a sold out exhibition hall. 

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, we thank all our delegates, speakers and sponsors for contributing to such a successful event. Save the Date for the 49th HGSA ASM in Christchurch, New Zealand at the Te Pae Convention Centre  

The Meeting promises an engaging and comprehensive exploration of the latest developments in human genetics and genomics. Topics will span a wide spectrum of issues, including equity in healthcare, ethical dilemmas, and the integration of genomics into everyday medical practice.
