In the event that COVID-19 restrictions prevent you from attending in-person, your registration will be converted to a Virtual Registration, and the difference will be refunded.  Should you prefer a full refund instead of a virtual registration you must notify the Conference Secretariat prior to accessing the platform (a cancellation fee may apply).

Refunds will be provided after the Conference.

If you wish to cancel your registration for other reasons, then the cancellation timeframe and fee applies.

Change from Virtual to In-Person

If you purchase a virtual registration, and COVID-19 restrictions have eased, you may wish to upgrade your registration from Virtual to in-person; this will be possible depending on venue capacity and in-person registration availability.

Abstract presenters will be given first preference to register for the in-person conference in order to present.

COVID-19 Protocol

In registering for the in-person HGSA 44th ASM, delegates agree to comply with all COVID-19 measures and protocols.

Virtual Access

The Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA), the conference organisers and secretariat will not be held liable, nor will a refund be optional if delegates, sponsors, speakers or exhibitors are unable to access, connect or have difficulty with internet connection, sound or visuals when participating in the HGSA 44th ASM. The conference organisers will endeavour to provide information on how to access the ASM, however delegates acknowledge that HGSA, the conference organisers and secretariat are not responsible for their IT connection or any issues caused by settings on devices used to access the HGSA 44th ASM, and delegates will endeavour to solve these issues with advice from their organisations IT support/suppliers of the devices they are using.
