On behalf of the Australasian Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine (AACB), we are pleased to invite you to the 63rd AACB Annual Scientific Conference, which will be held in Melbourne from September 14 - 17, 2026 at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
This year’s theme, The Practical Clinical Laboratory, highlights the essential role of the laboratory in translating innovation into real-world patient care. It emphasises the laboratory as a place of action and application where theory, emerging technologies and clinical guidelines are transformed into meaningful outcomes that support diagnosis, monitoring and treatment.
The programme will feature three full days of keynote presentations, industry engagement and exhibition, symposia, oral and poster presentations and extensive networking and social opportunities.
Located in the heart of Melbourne, Australia’s cultural and biomedical innovation hub, the conference experience will be complemented by two key satellite events. The Early Career Scientist Forum, held immediately before the conference, will offer rising scientists dedicated opportunities for professional development, collaboration and mentoring. Following the main conference, the Clinical Mass Spectrometry meeting will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss the latest advances, applications and challenges in mass spectrometry within clinical laboratories.
We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne in 2026.
