On behalf of the Australasian Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine, we are thrilled to invite you to the AACB 62nd Annual Scientific Conference, to be held from 13–16 October 2025 at the Grand Millennium Auckland in stunning Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand.

We are particularly excited to have the conference return to Aotearoa New Zealand, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant Māori culture, and unparalleled sense of manaakitanga (hospitality). From the awe-inspiring vistas of lush forests and volcanic mountains to the serene coastlines and sparkling harbours, New Zealand offers a unique backdrop for this year’s conference. Beyond the scientific program, this is a chance to explore Auckland’s rich cultural scene, world-class cuisine, and nearby natural wonders, like the iconic Waitākere Ranges or the vineyards of Waiheke Island.

This year’s theme, "Shedding Light on the Medical Laboratory ‘Black Box’," highlights the complexities behind the results that many clinical and non-clinical colleagues may not fully understand. The conference will feature sessions on a wide range of current and relevant topics in pathology and medical laboratory testing, all reflecting this fascinating theme.

Along with a cutting-edge scientific program, featuring international and local experts, you’ll have the chance to attend plenary sessions such as the David Rothfield Memorial Oration and the David Curnow Plenary Lecture. Additionally, there will be concurrent symposia, industry presentations, proffered papers, an extensive industry exhibition, and engaging oral and poster sessions. Throughout the three days, there will also be numerous opportunities to network with peers and industry leaders.
